Weekend Reading List — 06/03/2026
Have a great weekend.
Links
“When everyone can build, what do you actually own?” - Sachee Perera. A few years into the AI boom, it’s now clearer than ever. We have way more software, but it’s still not really any easier to build a software business. Good post outlining why.
“What’s going on with Gemini?” - Martin Alderson. So much of the talk in AI is centered around OpenAI and Anthropic, but Google is IMO the most interesting player in the space given its three unique structural advantages (cash, user distribution and novel TPU infra). But, as with most big companies, it’s kind of a sprawling mess right now.
“An economist’s case against the AI jobs-pocalypse” - Casey Newton. Good interview and discussion between Casey and a labor economist on what may or may not happen re: jobs due to AI and automation.
